Mowing

Spring

Now short (4) and keep it short while using the high nitrogen fertilizer. Don’t miss a week. Now at 5 after a couple weeks.

Summer

I think I mow at the highest or maybe second highest setting. Helps the grass shade itself.

Fall

Mow shorter when the fertilizer changes. Mow really short and winterize on the last mow of the year.

Water

Spring/late fall

Two times a day in the mornings, twice a week, is sufficient.

Summer

Three times a day, 3 days a week in the summer. Use +25% seasonal adjust

Fertilizer

Only start fertilizing once it gets warm enough and there aren’t many freezing days in the forecast. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks.

March-May

Use the 21-7-8 spring fertilizer

July-Aug

Use the 16-6-8 summer fertilizer

Sept-Oct

Use the 21-7-8 spring fertilizer

Nov

Once the days get cold enough to winterize (3 days in a row with highs in the 50°’s), mow lower than usual and spread out the winter fertilizer. Don’t worry about watering it in.
